Wireless Debugger
Why wireless?
If you have one of these problems to solve, BJPA offers you the solution:
– You need to debug microcontrollers on rotating hardware.
– You need to debug microcontrollers near
high and dangerous voltages.
– Galvanic decoupling is required between
a debug host and the debugged device.
– Your microcontrollers are encapsulated in polymer.
The smallest debug probe in the world.
With BJPA, we offer the world’s smallest debug probe. BJPA connects wireless to a debug host and requires no additional power supply and receives it’s single operation voltage with the SWD (Single Wire Debug) connector. In most situations, the small form factor allows to leave a BJPA debug probe on the PCB under development, while the enclosing can be closed. This allows to observe and debug software under development in real usage scenarios.
Supported Devices
BJPA currently supports various ARM based microcontrollers and the list of supported microcontrollers is still growing. Get in touch with us, to find out, if BJPA supports your microcontroller already or if your microcontroller is on our roadmap.
Connection
The BJPA can simply be connected using a 10 pin Cortex Debug Connector without any additional cables. As a few pins of the connector are not used, this pins can be used to connect an UART to support wireless device configuration and / or logging.
Easy IDE Integration
BJPA easily integrates into an IDE by providing a GDB conforming debug server.
Bootloader
We provide custom written bootloaders for various microcontrollers connected over different interfaces.
Custom Bootloaders
We’ve provided custom bootloaders for various industries and microcontrollers. This enables our customers to update their firmware reliable over a multitude of interfaces.
Examples of microcontroller families supported are STM32, STM8, nRF51/52, XMC4000, C2000 or NuMicro.
So far, we’ve implemented bootloaders that used following interfaces: UART, CAN, USB (CDC and Mass Storage Devices), SWD, Bluetooth LE, ANT and SPI.

IP Integration / Custom Solutions
The Wireless SWD Hub allows to be easily integrated into new or existing products and adds the ability to update firmware over the air to your product. The Wireless SWD Hub is based on our wireless debug probe (BJPA) and integrates by simply plugging the SWD hub into an existing 10 pin Cortex Debug Connector.
The wireless UART that is implemented by our wireless debug probe, is also available with the Wireless SWD Hub. This UART can be used for example as service interface or for logging.
Benefits for you as a customer:
Very low integration costs. No development effort.
To do the actual infield firmware update, we provide a set of clients for Windows 10, MacOS and Linux. In addition, we can provide you with libraries to integrate the firmware update procedure into your applications and apps.
For iOS and Android we provide update apps that are customisable with your companies logo.

With our products to upgrade and install firmware over various interfaces, data links, and media types, we gained experience and expertise that we offer to interested customers. As a customer, you can integrate our knowhow into your products in form of software, prebuild modules or ICs suitable to be integrated into you design. In addition, we provide consulting to help our costumers to find an architecture for their firmware update needs and consulting to integrate our IP into their products. Benefits for you as a customer: Lowest costs at higher product volumes possible best solution to satisfy your requirements easiest integration of custom requirements
